Dancing away and Father's Day

We were very busy this weekend. It was a massive weekend. As soon as I was home from school on Friday afternoon I started packing the car, and then we were off for a jet setting weekend of dancing in Orange, NSW for the Orange Eisteddfod. I'm sure I'm not yet recovered from it!

The Ballerina had the best time. She may (well, most likely) never be a professional dancer, but its something she enjoys dearly, and I just can't take that away from her. She loves to perform. She becomes this confident little creature, so unlike her usual shy self. Plus she always looks amazing. This year's tutu was the most gorgeous peacock blue colour.

Her favourite would have to be Classical ballet, where the tutu's, ribbon shoes and crowns come out. Its the stuff little girl dreams are made of, I think. Who doesn't feel pretty in stockings and tie up shoes? It's all a little bit luxe, really. I wish my legs looked just as skinny when i tied ribbon around them. Living vicariously though little dancer legs.

While we were in Orange we managed (just barely) to squeeze a bit of shopping in. I'm excited to say Cotton On Kids is now in Orange. Batman is looking spunky in his new threads.

And Computer Geek didn't miss out. When we got back on Sunday, he was showered with presents (the v v practical camping chairs he asked for, plus a mug and plate lovingly decorated by the munchkins) and a feast of Pork Belly with bok choy and rice, and caramel banana pie that I slaved over for hours (top 'n' fill, you are my friend.... shhhh!).

To all the Dad's, whether they're here or departed (like my Dad, miss you every day) Happy Father's Day. xo
